Looking back, it feels strange to realize that everything started as just an idea.
No team. No background. No certainty that it would even work.
Just a vision to create something I felt was missing in the TCG world. Products that are not only functional, but also have character and make sense for players.
From idea to reality
The beginnings were honestly chaotic.
Finding suppliers, testing quality, refining details that are not visible at first glance but ultimately matter the most.
Every step took longer than expected, but this is where Spell Ward truly started to take shape.
Not as just another brand, but as something with its own identity.
First products
The moment I first held the finished products in my hands was a turning point.
Until then, it was just an idea. Suddenly, it became real.
Dual Matte sleeves, deckboxes, first colorways, first orders.
And most importantly, the first reactions from players. That is what truly decides if it makes sense.
Community
What surprised me the most was how quickly people started gathering around Spell Ward.
Comments, messages, shares. People who not only bought the products, but helped push the brand forward.
This is not something you can buy with ads.
This only happens when what you create has real value.
The reality of building a brand
I will not pretend it was easy.
Doing everything alone means handling products, e-shop, marketing, communication and logistics.
There are days when you are solving ten things at once and none of them go as planned.
But that is exactly what pushes you forward the most.
Where Spell Ward is today
After one year, Spell Ward is no longer just an idea.
It is a brand that is steadily finding its place among players and reaching people across Europe.
New collaborations are forming and a strong foundation is being built for future growth.
What comes next
This first year was not about being big.
It was about building something that makes sense.
Now comes the next phase.
New products, new colorways and more ways for players to customize their decks.
And most importantly, taking Spell Ward to the next level.
If you have ever bought a product, followed us or simply watched what we are building, thank you.
Without you, Spell Ward would not be where it is today.
This is just the beginning.
Thank You. Daniel from Spell Ward
